Snapshot

My eyes open to the smell of coffee,
the day begins the moment my feet touch the ground,
the silence between that moment is one of life’s most sacred sounds.

The day begins and doesn’t stop,
Until I’m pulling into the driveway and my cup begins filling drop by drop.

Before I open the door, the smell of coffee hits my nose,
I chuckle, because that’s just how our life goes,

Right now,
Coffee in the morning and coffee in the evening,
Big love, kids, meals, laughs, fights, chores, swirling and dreaming.

Yes, coffee in the morning and coffee in the evening.
